Need to buy tires ASAP, how do the 275 fit on the SRT wheels?

Need to get some new tires bad, looking at possibly going with the Toyo Proxes with the 255s in the front and 275s in the rear any suggestions on that set up?? Any problem running 275s in the rears on the CSRT rims??? Anyone know where the best deal is on them?? Thanks in advance for all help.

Got 285/40/20 Goodyear Eagle RS-A EMT for the rear... kinda of scared to go 275s up front since I am contiplating trying out a road course. Afraid that hard cornering may be a bit troublesome with large width front tires.

Oh yea as Trojon mentioned above ...The Vredesteins are MUCH cheaper...impulsive spending got me into my pickle of purchasing the Goodyear.

Proxes 4's or ST's?? East Coast Tires on eBay has the best price. 275/40R20 Prx4's for $545 a set...that's $136.25 per. I just ordered a set.

You got that right, brudda. I went with the 255/45's which are even cheaper...$495. They do charge $80 shipping and ya get balanced and mounted but it's still way cheaper than any B&M I've seen. Oh yeah, they've been selling at these prices for months now. Get 'em while it lasts if you'll need tires soon.

The Toyo Proxes4's in the 275/40-20 size DO NOT work "well" on the front of a non-SRT LX with factory SRT8 wheels. They're fine on a SRT8- they have steering knuckles that were designed for the wider 20x9's.

I had the aforementioned tire on my Magnum RT with Magnum SRT8 wheels at all four corners for a short time. It looked killer, and handled the same! However, even with a 5mm spacer, the inside sidewall on the tire would slightly rub the steering knuckle(in reverse while turning). With the common 3mm spacer, the steering knuckle scrubbed off the center portion of the letters on the inside sidewall. You'd be surprized how much wheels/tires deflect on certain road conditions. Unless you have the equivalent of an 19mm offset (or less) on a 9" wide wheel, I wouldn't run that tire on the front of a non-SRT8 LX.

The other 275/40-20 tires may be different in the overall section width when mounted on the same wheel.

    Just my $.02.

Can you post pics of the 285's please! How do the run-flats ride/handle with non EMT's on the front?

    Thanks.
