    My suspension upgrade... comments? advice?

To start, my suspension is stock and I really don't like it. It shudders a lot and hops too frequently - I'm only at 25K miles, but I drive pretty hard. I've already got a set of Eibach Pro Kit lowering springs coming to me and next up I'm trying to get a set of SRT shocks for the cheapest possible price. The final piece will be Hotchkis sways. Ultimately, I would love the KWv2s, but it's a lot more than I can spend now. I'm thinking I can do all of this installed for ~$500-600.

Does my system sound good? What other items should I look at replacing while I'm under there?

Do the install yourself and save a ton of cash... it's really not that difficult. Shocks, springs and sways... that's the whole suspension right there, so you're covered. While you're under there, you may as well do a cat-back since you have to drop the exhaust to do the rear swaybar anyway. You might have a hard time finding just the SRT shocks... most will probably sell with the springs too.

Aren't there little things like spacers or bushings that need replacing or should be replaced? As neat as it sounds to do the install myself, it probably won't happen, I just don't have the tools or space to really do it well. Besides, I think I can get a fair price at my local shop. I've already done some exhaust work, so I'm done with that for a while... Thanks for the input!

Hey, Nick do yourself a favor and get the Eibach dampers to install with the springs. The SRT shocks will get beat up since their operating range is longer than the springs would allow. There are quite a few members here who changed the springs first and later needed to replace their shocks.

Nick, PM Josh or Jason (Electrofied) for a price. Here's a link to them. Worth every penny, I promise.

The magnum sits 1" lower than the RT, and the Eibachs drop the car 1.5", right? I thought the problems w/ burning out dampers were using the stock RT/SXT/SE shocks...

Just out of curiousity, was gonna start a new post on this, but it might help Nick out if someone has an answer: Are there any aftermarket Links that can be purchased that will ease the loosening of the sways or do people just recommend using locktite? I got my new suspension in last week and I've had to re-tighten the sway/link twice...

Ouch! For that price, I'll ruin my stock shocks and wait to get KWv2s...

$659 is still a whole lot cheaper, at one time, than the KW's.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

SRT sits 1/2" lower than an R/T and the Eibachs settle closer to 2" drop. You will destroy the stock shocks with Eibach springs,Its just a matter of time.Get the Eibach dampers to go with the springs.

Hotchkis sways come with new bushings. I don't believe the control arm bushings need to be replaced for a long, long time.

I stand corrected on the difference in ride height then... I thought the ProKit was a smaller drop. Definitely find new dampers if this is the case. If you can't afford them right now you can keep using the stockers w/ some modifications, but know that everything will be coming apart again to replace them in the not-too-distant future.
