My economic stimulus... let me show you it

I'm very happy with the General Grabbers. I know they only have maybe 50 miles on them but I'm really happy with them. Car sticks and corners better.

I've loved these wheels since the first time I saw them on Chargershed's car.

I got them on special sale for about $167/wheel from Mopar Supercenter. With TPMS and $220 in dodge bucks I've accumulated from my Dodge Rewards card the total price shipped for the wheels and TPMS was $655.

I'm glad I waited until now to buy these wheels. Even if I didn't have the stimulus check coming (was supposed to come today but wasn't deposited ) I would have bought them anyway as the deal was too good to pass up.

They seem pretty light, they feel in the 20-25 lbs. range. I'll put one on a scale tomorrow and update the post. My stockers are going to be downgraded to winter wheels.

Thumbs up to Ted and Jeff MPSC for taken care of me and the ridiculously fast and cheap shipping (the sale was completed on Wednesday and I got them today).

Those wheels are gorgeous. Make sure to get some fat sidewalls!

Best looking wheel for the money, absolutely hands down.

18's... but I'm not a huge fan of 20+ wheels. I like the look of fat tires. My old rubber is going on these but when it's time for replacement I'll be going with something in 255/55/18's

I'll save you the trouble of dropping them on the scale...24lbs a piece.

Nice purchase BTW. Would have been right there with you had our "stimulus" check arrived earlier. Ah well...I'll just need to be patient and hope for another sale.

thanks... at that price i could not buy them

I actually just called and they said it happened already and that there are no problems. For some reason I guess my bank isn't showing it as a "pending" and will just show it after a couple days after it has "posted."

The way I understand it is: for regular single folks, minimum is $300 max is $600.
If the tax you paid is $0-300, you get back $300.
If the tax you paid is $600 +, you get back $600.
If the tax you paid is between $300 and $600, you get back the amount you paid.

Sounds like your friends managed to get their tax bill down to a tiny amount

I seriously hope the wife and I get the $1,200 as I already spent it on a mopar/corsa cat back system.
But in case you're wondering why your friends may have received different amounts...

    http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/...181991,00.html
    Q. I received my stimulus payment, but it was less than what my friends and neighbors received. Why?
    A. Your economic stimulus payment will be based on information provided on your 2007 income tax return.
Many, but not all, taxpayers qualify for the maximum basic payment of $600 for singles or $1,200 for married couples. Many parents are also receiving an additional $300 for each qualifying child, born after Dec. 31, 1990.
Your payment may be less than the maximum for one or more of the following reasons:
    • You are single and your net income tax liability is less than $600. If you file Form 1040 net income tax liability is the amount shown on Line 57, plus the amount on Line 52.
    • You are married and your net income tax liability is less than $1,200.
    • You are single and your adjusted gross income (AGI) is more than $75,000. On Form 1040, AGI is the amount on Line 37.
    • You are married filing a joint return and your AGI is more than $150,000.
    • You owe back taxes.
    • You have non-tax federal debts such as unpaid student loans or child-support obligations.
