My adjuster for my KWV2 are stuck????

Yea, I am trying to lower the car a bit more, but the turn thing is stuck...I am trying my hardest to turn it, but it feels like there is sand between the strut and the adjuster. It will not more, I have already broke one of the turning slots...

    Any help would be thankful.

Jweezy: Did you ever figure out what the issue was? I jacked the car up and tried to adjust my kwv2's up front last night and they would not budge. The locking alan screw was loosened so it's not that. Could it be that after the spring/helper-spring settles, the load is too much to turn the adjuster?

Do I have to pop the upper ball joint just to completely unload the springs so I can turn the adjuster?

this happens often with coilovers.i had the same problem and u have to remove the coilover itself, buy a big plastic tray that the complete coilover will fit into, and go to car store and buy that big 128oz of pb blaster and pour it into the tray with the coilovers in there..let it sit for a day or so..this is what BC told me to do when i had the same problem with my srt4 neon..i let 2 of them sit for 7hrs and when i tryed it again,it broke loose easily.

id also recommend when u wash the car,or who ever washs it for u,to stick the pressure gun under the fender and spray at the coilover it self to remove any dirt or sand sitting on the threads

Try a pipe wrench..lock the 2 top ring purchs against each other, loosen the bottom ring purch closer to the rotor, and use the pipe wrench against the top ring to lower it,or the middle ring to raise it..good luck

How did you make out with this? I know this won't help if they are stuck now, but I was thinking about spraying dry-lube lubricant on the threads before I install my coil overs. Reason why is because that stuff keeps stuff from sticking to it. I sprayed the cutting deck on my lawn mower with dry-lube and nothing sticks to it, even when I cut wet grass. I used to have to take the cutting deck off and use a power washer to get the caked on grass clippings off.

Shoot some PB Blaster in the thread/Perch area. Make sure the Allen set screws are loose.

The Perches on the KW's should be composite, so they shouldn't rust, but you may have a lot of crap/dirt/sane/grime in there.
