Right now I am running 275/35/20 FK452's on all corners. I machined my own spacers etc to make these rims fit and allowed for ~0.3" clearance to the steering knuckle.

Even in hard (roadtrack) cornering, the sidewall/tread has not made contact. As a result I am thinking of going to a 285 or more.

My question is for those who "have" experienced contact, was it a maximum cornering load, and what is the actual clearance at rest.

This might be pointless, as different marques exhibit different degrees of sidewall flex for a given G-load based on tire structure.

If you can, accurate measurements would be helpful.

Thanks!
