    Michelin Primacy MXV4?

It is time to replace my original Contis on my 2006 RT AWD. They are showing tread bars after 24,000 miles. (Need 225/60R18)

Research comparing the Michelin Primacy MXV4s vs the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity concluded that the Michelilns handled a little better in wet conditions and had shorter braking distances. Both are about the same in price.

The Goodyear and Cooper brands are also mentioned as good options.

    I'd appreciate any feedback, thanks!

Check the TREAD WEAR ratings , the Goodyear Comfort Tread will last the longest and ride better than the conti's and any other brands. Most people like them on our cars.

I went with 235/55x18 Michelin MXV4's Energy Tire. Handling is MUCH improved and tire noise went away. Now, I have 18k miles on them and they look like they will go at least that long again before having to be replaced. They are still quiet! They are about 1/4" shorter than stock. I have a Superchips tuner that allows me to adjust for tire height. Although, I set it with the Contis and haven't reset it and my speedo is about 1/2 to 1 mph fast according to my Garmin GPS.

By the way, I got 19k out of the original Contis.

I just replaced mine with the Cooper CS4 Touring tire. It is V-rated so it only gets the 60,000 mile warranty. Cooper is also offering a 45 day road test. If you don't like them you just take them back. I immediately felt the difference from the conti's-- these are much quieter and they do not follow every groove or bump in the road. I am pretty impressed so far. Also the price was better than most I was looking at. I paid around $132 per tire for 225/60/18's.

    Good Luck!!!
