Question M/T Street ET Bias ply tire questoins

Ok so im thinking about picking up a tire/wheel package from Slidway, but I will be running my radials up front. I have been told many times Bias on back, radials on front is a BIGGGG NO NO! I should be dipping into the 11's on the bottle so i will be up there in speed and dont fill like eating the wall. Who has had these on there car? is it bad? Should I pass on these? Truly I want Hoosiers but I figgered I would ask here and see.....

I'll give you the answer to that one. lol! For the first time a set of hoosiers is a much easier adjustment and is a little smaller(1")for more gear. If you can spend the extra dough on a new set you'll be better off overall. This set of M/T's is best suited to someone who needs to step up a little in size for launch or wants to hold 3rd. gear a bit longer with 500+ rwhp. Hope this helps, and G.L.

btw- If I didn't have skinny's I would run the bias ply's with the radial's but I wouldn't tell someone else to do it! They do say not to but then again they might want to sell you front tire's too!

I run the et streets and have no issues. The trick us keeping the tire pressure up enough so they don't wander due to sidewall flex.my 60's are 1.60-1.70.

erik nailed it on the head...i run the bias ply and love them!...just make sure u get enough pressure in them and you should be fine!...it will make you a lil nervous the first time you run them with all the sidewall flex but youll get used to it.

I've run both Hoosiers and the ET Street biasplys. Biasplys do wander at 18 psi or less. It is kinda scary and not consistent when it does it. Hoosiers stick at least as good for me and I don't get the wobble. They also weigh about the same (275/40/17 Hoosiers vs. 26x17 biasplys) so you don't gain anything there with the biasplys.

Well I have run the M/T Biasply as low as 14lbs and that is about as far down as I would go....you will have a white knuckle ride on the top end for SURE. I also run my regular street tires up front.

Being I have grown accustomed to the M/T Biasplys rides I was not as hesitant to try lower PSI with the new Hoosier Slicks.... and have found at around 15 lbs that I will have to BOLT the tires on the rims as they MOVED about 4 inches a run.

At a track that is well known for its lack of prep ... I have gone down to as low as 13.5 lbs on a set of M&H's to be able to achieve a resemblance of a hook. (1.7x) same track I used new Hoosier Slicks at 16lbs and achiveve 1.6x launches.

And I will be fine with the 09 R/T Axles that I have right? I heard the Hoosiers have a soft sidewall so that will help. Should I try and spray 125 Shot out of the hole?
