    Lowering questions for 3.5L???

    1st:
Saw on another thread that lowering springs made for 5.7 can be used for 3.5, but wont lower as much due difference in weight...is this true?

    2nd:
Can you throw on lowering springs without changing shocks/struts and still lower the car or is it that new shocks by Eibach or Koni come shorter that stock shocks?

    3rd:
Are there different shocks to buy for 3.5 vs 5.7...such as the Eibach or Koni....and which would work better for the 3.5L?

I currently run 265/35/22 with 22x10 wheels all around and was told I could only run the Mopar Springs since they only lower 1".

    Goes back to question #1
Could I run Hotchkis Springs which are rated at 1.25" drop or Eibachs without rolling my fenders!!!

    Thanks for any input!!!

    Hi Jon,

Eibach lists different part numbers for V6 and V8

Yes you can leave the stock shocks on if you wish.....But.....You may have bouncy issues.
It's always best to replace the dampers when you go to lower performance springs. No necessary, but best if you can.

Dampers (shocks) have no influence on the height of a vehicle unless they are self leveling shocks.
But you do have to buy the set that is right for your vehicle. Again, Eibach lists different part #'s for V6 and V8

The Eibach pro dampers and the Koni STR.T dampers are both great parts.

You could run the Hotchkis or the Eibach pro-kit on your car without issue. You really would benefit by getting the dampers also.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

BTW - Eibach makes the Pro system kit for your car which includes the dampers and springs. You might be interested.

yeah different parts for 3.5 vs 5.7 ---and if you buy the springs without the shocks your stock shocks will go out eventually from over compression due to the new low ride,--- I have also heard that springs for the hemi doesn't lower the V6 car as much because of the lack of weight as well--- if you use 5.7 springs it may work may not --- stick with the right set up it will pay off in the end! you may want to roll fenders since you have 22 by 10
