    Lowering KW front a bit..

So, I'm trying to lower my ride a bit. I currently have KW V2's and sit pretty low, but want to get to the max. Look at this picture...the big pin up top, I can twist it about 5-6 times, but there is no noticeable drop or raise. What am I doing wrong?

Front end should be jacked off the ground before the adjustment is made.

Ok, I should then be able to twist that thing on top a lot more to get the look I want. Is that what you're saying?

The part in your picture is for dampening adjustment. The part you need to adjust for lowering is on the shock itself behind the wheel not under the hood.

Yes, still have to jack up the front. There are special wrenches that are required to change the ride height. Whoever installed the KWs for you, or sold you the car, should have given them to you along with the instructions.

AreTee, Thats the dampner adjustment you are playing with.

You need to hike the car up, pull the tire and use the adjustments there to lower the car.

    I'll miss you big brother!

As stated that adjustment is only for dampening. To change the ride height you MUST jack up car, pull tire off. Then you will see the assembly, spring and plate. The plate shoul dhave a small set screw (meaning you need an allen wrench to loosen) so loosen the screw and then lower the plate the spring sets on by spinning it. The tools help in the adjustment but you shouldn't need them, you can spin them by hand if you have the car lower. Also be sure to clean the threads before moving the plate so it doesn't bind up on you. Lastly, depending on the drop, you may need to get another alignment. Make sure you do the same to the other side.
Also you will need to reset the dampner to proper adjustment.

I'm trying to get something hooked up at Kens so we can at least lift the car. Floor jacks would work and be a simple replacement but its so much easier.
Not to mention Ken and Nan are great folks and I havent seen them for awhile.

I will call him tonight on the way home to pull in some dates.

    I'll miss you big brother!
