JAcking up the car at the pumpkin (rearend)

I got some tires put on the rear of my car, I dropped it off and when I came back to get the car I noticed a 300 there. They jacked car up using a floor jack under the pumpkin (rearend). SO me putting two and two together, think they did the same thing to my car when installing the rear tires. I know how compex our rear ends are compared to the old school ones. Can this F a car up......bend the drive shaft or axles????

Lotta people do it. I have. I don't recommend it by any means, but I haven't seen anybody have any problems. Ya gotta make sure you're on the housing, not on the cover.

Right way to do it is just in front of the rear wheels, or you can use the pads by the big-ass bolts that hold the cradle to the car.

My car Is so low that most conventonal jacks wont fit under her.. so thats where I do it.... "I have a special pad" I made that has a groove down the center of it so that it cradles the housing.

Nothing wrong with it.I wouldn't leave the car on the jack for an hour,but to get it in the air it won't hurt anything.
I wouldn't recommend it with the Getrag Diff though since it's aluminum.
