It's my turn for new Tie-Rods...

It's a shame that they decided to give out after I had suspension work done (Pedders Touring Plus). After looking online and calling a few places I was able to source a set of Moog inner and outer tie rods locally.

They were about $70 more than buying them online but it was worth it to have them now so I wasn't waiting for parts to come in.

The question is do you think it's worth it to spend the money and get some Moog ball joints so that I don't have to worry about sealed for life steering/suspension components again?

I had a low speed rattle when going over bumps. Now that I had my radius rod bushings installed it's noisy whenever I hit any kind of bump. Since I had the car at modern muscle getting the bushes installed I told Johnparts about it and after he checked the other things it could be he determined it was the inner tie-rod on the drivers side. My own research after that reinforced what John told me.

If I were you I'd check to see if the swaybar endlinks are tight enough first before going and replacing stuff.

Ha! No problem glad I could help. Plus it's hard to jack a thread that no one has responded to

I actually looked at the outer tie-rods today and I found that they don't have zerks. A quick search found that the Deeza tie-rods for these cars do, but I've only seen and read good things about the Moogs so I'm happy with them.

I would have put them on myself today and tried to get it aligned had I not had to go to work.

Oh, and your ball joint question...I have a feeling when one of my bushings/tie rods/anything goes out, I'm going to try and replace as much as I can then for peace of mind

The small rod that runs vertical in the picture connects to the shock (not sure of the name) and the bar running horizontally right is the swaybar itself. The bolt that goes through the swaybar end was what was loose on mine. The nut I tightened is just on the opposite side of the round end the the vertical rod
