I want to know how many of you are not using hub centering rings with your aftermarket wheels with no problems?

When U see me in my town Everything is BLACK & RED!!!!
Some aftermarket wheels are hub-centric, any that are not will need centering rings or you will have problems. Trying to center the wheel properly with just the lugs isn't going to work very well, and there will be some nasty vibrations. For the cost of the rings, it's a no brainer.

I have Cragar wheels, they are lugcentric, but designed to be so... NO issues. Where you will run into problems is with hub centric wheels with no rings or the wrong sized rings. Also if you attempt to run lug centric wheels with the wrong bolt circle.

Yeah, some wheels are designed to center based on the lugs, others are designed to be centered based on the hub bore. Personally, for the $10, I'd get the rings either way, or buy the right wheels if possible.

I thought the rings were only required when using 5x114.3mm bolt pattern wheels. When using the proper 5x115mm bolt pattern they are not needed. This is correct right?

I have been running wheels with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern, for a couple of years without hub centric rings, due to the spacers that I ran on my RT. No problems at all. The spacers were not hub centric either.
I now run them on my SRT, with the same wheels, because I had a set and still no problems. I do not run spacers any longer.
***My results may not be the norm, though.
