RIP My Friend
Stock RT wheels & tires weigh 48 lbs. (+/- 1 lb) with 17000 miles on them.
My 255/55r18 and KMC wheels weigh 55 lbs.
I have weighed both.

UPS says that my CSRT 22" Replicas with tires weigh in at a whopping 81 pounds each !!!!
heavy wheels = poor ride quality. not good for handling either.
my awd wheels with tires are about 55#.
I have been pondering what an aftermarket wheel might weigh.
anybody know?
some of my mercedes wheels were near 30 something with a tire mounted! that makes for a nice ride.
I had two different special wheels for my 53 caddie that I never fitted because I found they weighed 10# more than the stock steelies....caddie wires and caddie mags from a 57 caddy. I cleaned them up and sold them for a profit though.

My forged rims are 24lbs, and new Toyo 255/45/20's are 33lbs, total 57lbs new.
This site has a bunch of rim weights.

According to DCX stock 18" RT rims for Magnum are 24 lbs. Acoording to Tire Rack BFG KDW2 (KDW-NT) are 35 lbs. That makes 59lbs. About 2 lbs heavier than the stock wheel/Conti Seal combo but OMFG what an improvement!!! I'll take this weight gain any day for the day/night improvement in handling, grip and wet weather performance. Not to mention the Conti's can't handle the weight of the Mag empty, add 600 lbs of crap and average 80mph for hours on a road trip and the Conti's will probably fail, the BFG's will shoulder the load and still give you predictable handling and safe braking. Your mileage may vary.

I'm convinced that the differnce between the cragar 20's and stock cost me a few tenths

My forged 20x8.5's are 23.6 lbs. A hair lighter than the stock 18's, which are no slouch in terms of weight. Add in 26 lb. RSA's and I am at about 50 lbs for the set.
Heading in the right direction but those ultra low profile tires are not for me.
