Galvanic Corrosion
I had occasion to remove both my front wheels today, for the first time -- the car is 18 months old; only driven in California and thereabouts (no snow, etc.); factory MSRT wheels, last off ~ a year ago when the slotted rotors were installed. Both were corroded on. I hammered the wheels loose (with a small sledge against the inside of the tires, repeatedly around the circumference of each); wire brushed off as much corrosion as I could; and will coat the contact areas with anti-sieze when I reinstall the wheels.
I was amazed that this happened -- to the extent that it did, this short a time. You might want to check your wheels
