front boot grease leaking out

Anyone know what this boot covers?

And more importantly, would it contribute to any sort of vibration/shudder when slightly braking (new rotors and pads installed and still shudder)?

Or would it contribute to a "slide hammer sound" when going over speed bumps or dips in the road at slow speeds (5 mph) only?

You are gonna need a ball joint soon.Unfortunately until someone finds them seperate you need to buy the entire knuckle.

Mine has been cut for months. I've had my eye on it. It is still pretty well lubricated. That's thick grease in there (or at least in mine). It'll take a while before it dries out. I haven't noticed any symptoms.

Then again, I'm not quite sure what symptoms this would cause.

These aren't gresable because theyr sealed, but if they are already torn open like that, could u get around replacing them by just ocassionaly greasing them thru the tear?

This is what I've been doing temporary. My boot has been torn for a while now and adding more grease to it helps. When it's dries, you will hear squealing/ squeaking noises when turning the steering wheel.

Like Hemi31 mentioned, you will need the whole knuckle. I've been trying to find one local since they are pretty heavy to ship.
