    fitment

    Has anyone had any problems with mounting 274/40R20 tires on 8.5" wide rims?

    It can be done, but if you look at the recommended wheel size from the manufacturer of your tire, you will see that they do not recommend it. It is not wide enough. Loads on the sidewalls and first 2 inches of the treads is higher with this mismatch
