    Eibachs BACK to stock anyone???

I've had my Eibach Pro Kit springs on my Magnum R/T for about 18 months. I think that one of my front OEM shocks is blown and before I get it repaired I think I may want the stock springs re-installed. I get the work done by a local shop and I don't want to become his "favorite" customer by having to constantly change all of my shocks because of the Eibach springs. Spending over $1,000 to "upgrade" to Eibach shocks isn't what I'd really like to do either.

Has anybody else gone back to OEM springs after the Eibachs?? My R/T is a 2WD with 45,000 miles on it.

    Any advice is appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Nick

I'm not sure if your asking for advice on if you should return to stock or not, but here's what I think.

If you like the look/handling of the eibachs...then SPend the money now and go w/the Eibach Dampners, or get rid of your springs and switch to coilovers.

Either way will save you money from constantly replacing OEM shocks/struts

    Thanks for the reply.

I did the springs mostly for the lowered "look". The handling didn't change that much anyway. Maybe with the Eibach shocks AND the springs I'd have seen a difference in handling but right now I don't want to toss away money if the springs are going to blow every new shock that I install.

Right now, lowered or not is OK as long as whatever repair that I do will last.

Stock shocks arent made for lowered cars. If you dont want to keep blowing shocks, get the proper shocks or swap in some coilovers.

Add the dampners, and you will notice a whole new world with the handling!

I have a 05 RT Mag. What kind off coilovers do you guys suggest? I have the Eibach coils only wright know, it is a harsh ride and tires rub in the front. I'm running 22" Dub Shorelines with 265/35/22 all the way around. Any suggestions?

I would say your ride is rough because of the rims and not just the coilovers.

    Stock catback, and stock drivetrain

My Eibach ProKits have been on for 39000+ miles, and I gotta figure my shocks/struts are toast as well, but dropping a grand-plus on coilovers or fancy shocks just isn't in the plan.

These aren't warranty items for the most part anyway, 'wear items', right? So who really cares what springs are on there? For that matter, how many 'take-off' stock RT flavor shock/strut sets are out there available? I'd do the SRT8 set, but I don't want to raise the car and I don't have a problem replacing 'em once a year.
