    Eibach dampers in

Ride was not cool so i spent the dough ya no. Had someone install the fronts for a 100 bucks and did the back myself. Front dampers are cool because they come with adjustable spacers. Basically it's low, medium and high which are stackable(which should make the fronts very close(levelwise) to the back dampers). I compared the old front dampers with the Eibachs and the Eibachs were lower. I didn't want the front to be lower than it was so i used two of the smallest spacers to bring it up to the old damper height. And actually after around 2 years the old front dampers were not that bad. Still had some spring.

Backs took around 2 hours or more for me to do but i wanted to save some money for alignment. Eibach damper shafts are around 4 inches shorter that stock ones. Finished and drove a bit and def. felt a difference on the back ones. In parts where car would bottom out before, it didn't after. Will take it for a more thorough ride tommorow since i had my tools in the back of ride when i test drove. Old back dampers were also still decent, better than expected. I guess the 4 inch cut of the shaft is what makes a bit difference. All in all a very happy camper here and will put it to the test tommorow.

Have about 10,000 miles on them and they are working great. No more bounce after the 1 3/4" ProKit lowered it. Haven't taken them to the track yet to see about launch but it corners better, no float.

Got to drive it some more today and am very pleased with the ride. Better on corners and better in all areas. Bumps can now be taken without having to slow down. Car feels firmer when going over bumps now, no floaty feel or car sag afterwards. Got it aligned also today. Pretty much within spec. Only out in a couple of areas by a tenth or so. Good enough not to have to buy any bolts or eibach parts. Got the lifetime firestone for 149. Being dropped and all i will put that lifetime warranty to good use. Now hopefully i will take it to the track on friday to see how she performs.

I wish my install went as well as yours. I recieved defective rear dampers. One shock had a internal rattle and wouldn't self extend like the other. Also, the thread on the rod was shorter than stock for both. So the locking nut did not engage all the threads. We didn't discover this until the springs were installed. Re-installing the load leveling shocks was not a option. So I'm riding on a f'd shock. It sways and rebounds out of sync. I'm hoping HHP will quickly fix this problem for me.

Sorry to hear that man. I know there are a couple of people who have had issues with the dampers being defective. That sucks because it seems to be of the reported cases of install about 3 or 4 sets have been no good. If it continues it'll be like playing roulette when ordering these things (no one will know what they are going to get good bad or ugly). I guess i was lucky. Both rears seemed fine as well as the fronts. I have had no noise whatsoever and have nothing but praise for them. Of course im keeping my fingers crossed. If the shoe was on the other foot though, i would be one pissed off SOB. Especially having had to install and take them back out as i know it's not that easy of a task. Good luck to ya and im sure Josh will fix the problem. You figure after making dampers for other vehicles for a while that Eibach would have gotten their shi! strait by now. (Guess not). Keep us posted bro.
