    Easystreet Air Suspension

Searched the forums and couldnt find anything about this system.

I've been reading around on the forum and everyone on here that has expierience or knowledge about pneumatics recomends UAS. Im looking into the Easystreet setup which inclues (in my opinion) more than the UAS kit.

This complete kit will cost me just over $2000 (website listed at $2645) which includes a digital brain that dispays bag pressure, tank pressure, and battery voltage. The struts also have a 9-way dampening system, and auto rise on start with about 6" of travel.

Looking at the UAS site, the kit has everything I would need, but to get digital guages and the auto rise with the kit would cost $2700 (according to website) and I would have to replace all 4 struts/shocks instead of just the rear to an adjustable dampening type. But, the UAS has a better load leveling system based on ride height instead of bag pressure like the Easystreet.

Any input on either of these two systems will be greatly appreciated.

And remember, I don't have the Magnum yet. Just doin all my research ahead of time so I can make the best possible decision when it comes to the suspension.

I think you get 2 comps with the UAS as well as a stainless tank.

Probably the only thing you have to worry about with those bags is the crimped bands on the bags. They are notorious for failing... and when they fail it is EPIC.

    Thanks for your input.

Thats right, UAS does have two compressors. Forgot to mention that...

Are you talking about the Easystreet bands or bands in general? Because the UAS bags have bands also...

    ???

And are they failing because of overinflation? The Easystreet bags have a max rating of 150 psi...brings up another question, whats the max for UAS?

    ...you said notorious...

UAS bags run around 200 psi for their rating. for me its over 150 before I get to stock ride height.

As far as the bands go I have had no problems with UAS crimped bags nor have I heard of any.

read this forum topic about the air lift bags...

Cant see the pics at work, damn military firewalls...

good read. got this quote from the other forum, from Phil at FBI

The Air Over Shocks, Strut Bags, and other products AirLift makes haven't had this problem, because they move straight up and down and are limited by the stroke of the shock/strut assembly. I've seen a couple of isolated cases of ring failure, but they were usually due to installation errors or running too much pressure.

    -Phil at FBI
Reading through I also noticed that people running over 200psi are the ones blowing the Air Lift bags.

I sent an email to Easystreet asking them about this and a few other things I wanted cleared up. When I get a response from them, I'll post up.

Im also thinking about getting bags. I bagged my last car and the bands never caused any problems for me. I bought an extra bag just in case and never had to use it. I rarely went over 170 though.

I'm not familiar with UAS or Easystreet but most of the people on the forums have UAS. I do know that UAS is more expensive.

I'd also like to find out more so post up after you get more details.

Honestly, most companies use the same parts, except for bags. Every kit I looked into before getting my bags used VIAIR compressors. They may vary a bit on the valves or manifolds, but I havent really seen any issues with those. Right now UAS has the best BAGS for the LX's because they were designed FOR the LX's. I got sponsored by Slam Specialties, and I got UAS bags for the front because UAS has the best bags for the front. I am also running UAS bags in the rear. Love them.

I wouldn't say they were designed for the LX, I think they are an application that works with the LX. Any car with a McPherson strut up front can use these bags. If you look at their application list, all the vehicles use the same bags up front (02-ST-SB-14) except for a few. And theres nothing wrong with that, but I like the fact that the Easystreet front comes with the adjustable strut, instead of using the stock ones up front.

The manifolds, tank, fittings, compressors, are pretty much all the same as you stated before, but the UAS comes with one-way valves where the Easystreet has two-way manifolds, which I'm not a fan of, but I still have my one-ways from my last setup that are still in great condition. I guess the main thing I like about the Easystreet is the digital control. I already have a 10 switch box so I don't need another one, and I can tap my switchbox into the system to run along with the digital so I can show off when I want to.

It's a tough decision. In the end, I feel like its going to come down to how much I can get for the money...more compressor, more inflate/deflate, digital vs manual, valves vs manifold, etc etc.

Anything anyone else may have that might make my decision easier please chime in.

Earlier I mentioned I was going to shoot Easystreet an email. They seem willing to answer any questions. Here are the results.

I was wondering if you could enlighten me a little. Looking into purchasing the Magnum Digital Combo, PN 95752, and I came across some information that says your bands around the bags pop off. One of the forums is linked below: http://www.streetsourcemag.com/forum...topic_id=79588

Has there been a big problem with sealing rings popping off for the kit in question?

Even though the bag is rated at 150psi, can they safely handle 175psi since this is the rating of the pressure switch for the tank?

Can the port for the front suspension be enlarged from 1/4" to 3/8" without degrading the integrity of the system?

What is your warranty policy if a bag does pop or become "deringged"?

If the bag fails because a ring pops off, but there is still signs of rubbing, is it still under warranty?

    Is accessconnect.com an authorized dealer?

    Do you do price matching?

Do you have a military discount?

Thanks in advance for taking the time to answer my questions.

First off, thank you for your service for our country! We have had a problem in the past with the crimp rings coming apart, but it only happened when the shocks were removed from the vehicle which allowed the bag to over extend and damage the ring. I have never seen this happen with the Magnum kit, but in any case that it would happen the bag would be covered under warranty.

I would not fill the bags past 150 psi, if the bags are ran at a pressure higher than that it will void any and all warranties.

The port size cannot be enlarged because there is not enough room to make the hole any bigger.

Yes, accessconnect.com is an authorized dealer, we do not price match because I cannot undercut my dealers. If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.

I think you really need to see more then 150 in the bags on the car. Sometimes you just need that extra lift.

This kit will go above the stock ride height by 1 inch with less than 150psi, I can't see why you would need to go any higher than that!
