I'm just double checking before I order my springs, any way to tell?
Thanks!
That sounds correct to me. I believe the Billsteins used on the 2008 and up srt models and daytonas. Thats why you can use springs to lower them without destroying them.

if the shock body is larger than 2" (3" or so) then you have nivomats. magnums came with nivomats on R/T's with either the R&T package or the tow package.
I have an '05 R/T without the towing package and I had the Nivomats on my car. They are larger in diameter than other shocks and they will have a Sachs label on them. Sachs is the manufacturer. You'll have to remove a wheel to check. Here's a link to a picture of the Nivomats....

IIRC, if the word SACHS is on the shock, it's Novimat!

Take a look at these shocks... See the long post out the bottom of the shock? That's Nivomat only. If your shocks have the post out the bottom, they're Nivomats. If the eye is welded directly to the bottom of the tube, they are standard shocks...
Hope this helps,
Bob

I eat through end links like candy bars!
I you have the self leveling shocks and you want to lower your car, yes.
FYI - It's always best to upgrade your shocks when you upgrade your springs.
Keep in mind, stock shocks were never made to be used with lowering springs.
They were made to be used with taller/softer springs in most cases.

thats what I am wondering about too! I also have saches that are just like yours and was told they are the novimat, but they dont have the long arm out the bottom so I dont know if they really are.. Did dodge use sachs standard shocks instead of the bilstiens as well???
