    clunk

    I noticed that when I hit a small bump that I feel a clunk in the front end, it seems to be on the right, I have looked but cannot seem to find anything obvious, it feels like it may be in the stearing, I also have noticed a little pull to the left. I also notcied one of the removable plugs in the right front fender well was missing, I replaced it, but still gotta clunk.
    Any ideas?

    Had the same clunk when hitting bumps and was most noticeable at low speeds. Dealer checked it out and replaced the tension struts. Clunk go bye-bye after that.

    tension struts, ?, Never heard of them, are you refering to the front coil over shocks.

    tension strut is #4 in this diagram:


    common sources of front end noises:
    - tension struts
    - sway bar links
    - sway bar bushings
    - outer tie rod ends
    - inner tie rod ends

    I never heard of them either, but that is what they replaced to fix my problem.

    fnkychkn, is there a way to check if that is the defective part? Mine started to do the same today, went under grab that part but no movement by hand. Maybe i should try to pry it with a bar and see if it move.

    you most likely won't see or feel any play in the tension strut ball joint. they are very difficult to diagnose without a chassis ear.

    Found the source of my front end noise, not suspension/direction related at all. It was the brake pads anti rattle clips. See here http://www.chargerforums.com/forums/...ng+your+brakes
