    Question Chrome stock RT wheels.

I know several of you have these. Is there anybody who does an exchange? I don't want to mess with E-Bay. What I would like to do is, buy the wheels, put them on my car, and send him my old ones.

I did the chrome exchange with oemrims.com in Feb when I bought my Magnum 20,000 miles later they are still perfect and I would buy again. I was close enough I went there in person. I have no affiliations with the company.

I visited the site posted above. In the FAQ section, they stated that their wheels would not hold up in snow and salt. They stated that anyone who said that chromes would last in those conditions was "bulls**t" in their words.

I emailed them and told them I have 2 '97 Cadillac STS's with chrome wheels. That's 12 years of Ohio winters without a trace of rust. Maybe these guys are ok for CA & FL, but I would wait for the Mopar RT chromes.

    Exclamation

Thanks guys. I live in Texas and the few times we have icy roads, they put down sand, not salt.

I tried twice to e-mail them, but it came back rejected both times. This is the e-mail I used, info@oemrims.com but it's not working. Is it the same one you used?

I have to say, I have had stock chrome wheels on 2 diferent dodge cars, and after 2 yrs, the inside bead lip was corroded so bad, bead seal would not even hold air in em. Stock chrome from Mopar on wheels is sub par for quality and I would personally stay away!! get you non chromies dipped and you should be good to go!

My extended warranty is good for 5 years or 100,000 miles. It will cover any problems with these wheels. I'll just have them checked before the wanrranty expires. Will that work?

yep. I guess. my dealer would not cover the chromies on my last car after 12,000 miles. he said the corrosion was due to the tires letting in moisture, and the tires are only warranteed up to 12,000 miles. but if you have a dealer that is good enuff to stand behind the wheels with an extended... I say Go for it!
