    brake issues...

Question for all... Got an 05 magnum r/t. 28K on her. Anyways yesterday I was driving and I applied the brakes and it felt like when you have the car turned off and you press the brakes. Notice like they get tighter and tighter until you turn the car on and you can fully depress them. Takes forever to stop the car when driving. Anything I can check before I get my car to the shop?

I'd check the vacuum line from the back of the intake manifold that runs to the booster, as Todd suggested.

If you have NOESP, disable and see if the esp system is coming into play.
Or half disable with the dash button and see if it makes a difference. Don't know what that may mean, just shottin from the hip
It seems it should be a system or control thing and not a mechanical malfunction.

Maybe a battery disconnect and re-boot?

Your symptoms sound the same as when the vac boost for the power brakes went on an OLD car of mine (sixties T-bird). So I would suspect a vac leak of some kind along the vac line to the booster from the intake manifold (which you already checked) or just a dud booster module (which was the case for that old car). Another time with that same vehicle, a fitting blew off of the booster casing (a backfire momentarily pressurized the manifold and everything else attached to it) and the brakes had those same symptoms, too, until I plugged the hole where the fitting had been.

Unless the electronics that also manage the brakes could somehow cause this, I don't know what else it would be.

2009 BB 300C SRT8 - Diablosport Predator, LMI Hammer-design intake, lower rad-shroud mod, 180* t-stat, BT catch can (unplugged for winter), Mopar hitch, dashboard hula girl, Blizzak tires on 18" Borbet type TS rims for winter.
...And yeah, I beat that yellow 'vette by a tenth - LOL!

double checked all the fittings back there and they are good. might pull the manifold off to see if there is something I am missing back there somewhere.

ensure nothing is impeding pedal movement.
check vacuum supply to brake booster.
if both OK, most likely defective booster.
Izzy pics money talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"
