    Bilstein/spring combo, who's done it?

I really want to lower my 06' srt8, but I dont really want to spend coilover money to get it. I'm fairly certain I can get a decent ride with the combo I am looking at but I want feedback and possibly pics before proceeding. since the str8's have bilstein fronts and I found bilstein rears for 112.00 shipped each (x2 rear) I want to add pedders springs and hotchkis sways. what do you think?

    bilsteins 224.00 shipped
    hotchkis 385.00 shipped
pedders 300.00 and up + shipping (if a vendor here can beat that PM me)

Total 909.00 + or - depending on pedders cost

Thats less than the cheaper coilovers and that includes the swaybars

You could also do Eibach springs for lower cost on the spring setup.

It would be a good idea to make sure the Bilsteins you are looking at are a match for the factory Bilsteins valving. So you dont compromise front to rear ride quality.

thanks for the feedback, i'm using the same part as the 08+ srt8 bilsteins for reference and I was concerned w/ going too low with the eibach's, I heard they lower 2" all around but I don't know what that is in reference to. Isn't the srt8's lower than the 5.7 or v6's for that matter. is it 2'' from the srt8 or the rest of the LX line up?

On second look they don't list a specific spring for the SRT, just the V8 model.

It shows a 1.6" drop front and rear. So there is a good chance that you wouldn't see that much of a drop since the SRT8's sit lower already. Then again, I have never personally tried this combo out with the bilsteins and eibachs on a 300c SRT8, so I can't say for sure.

Sorry for the less than solid answer haha.

I am interested in this as well as I currently have SRT susp on my car and they are all low mile stuff, I was thinking of doing new bilstiens on the rear and then drop coils all around but wasn't sure about the front to back valving!

Interested to see if anyone has any experience!

Im getting ready to sell my springs. I also had an RT which i put a SRT8 suspension and wanted to go lower. I went with pedders and it worked great. I had nivomats in the rear and it still worked.
