    better profile tire choices??

OK, me and the wife are running through the stock Conti tires like they are water and we are expecting to need new tires again soon(leadfoots-lol). But, we are hoping to get a more aggressive designed tire like a BFG or Nitto, etc etc...Just wondering what tires are best and what the sizes are we could go with? The wider the beter

We are still runnign the stock 18" R/T rims

    thanks,

    josh

I've got the BFG KDW 2. Like them alot. They are 255/55/18. I have about 4000 miles on them, and so far, I'd buy them again.

I've favored Yokohamas for years on a Corrado, M Roadster and Saab 9-3. They were all sticky, comfortable and quiet tires that got between 25-30k with occasional aggressive driving. Put them on my new 20s and like them so far. I have also heard good things about Kumho, but have no personal experience.

Lots of good reviews at tirerack.com

Just installed my 2nd. set of BFG KKDW NT's 255/55/18, love 'em, went over 45 K on the first set, including drags and road courses.
There is tread left on the old set, not even to the wear bars, but they got HARD from all the heat histories on the track!

I have the BFG G-Force T/A KDW and I love them. Mine are 255/55 R18.

I was thinking since I just have a 3.5 I may go to a slightly smaller 245/50 R18 if I can find them when these are worn out.

My car came with 235/65 R17 and these tires are about 2 or 2 1/2" taller so it cuts down my power some.

I also am running the BFG KDW-NT 255/55/18 on the stock rims. They are sticky on dry & fantastic in the rain. I would buy them again. I have about 16k on them now & they still look new w/aggressive driving.

I just put the BFG TA-GForce KDWS 245/55/18 on my AWD. Had it done at Costco, mounted cost was $166 per wheel + disposal + tax. Not mounted would have been $156 per tire. They don't stock these in the stores, mine took less than a week to arrive.

Just a note to forango, the KDWS is not the same as the KDW2. The "S" is a 4 season, not something you'd be most likely to want in FL.

The KDW "2" are a little bit cheaper, I think I paid about $140 at Discount IIRC.

    If I wanted a 4 season, there's no doubt I'd have the KDW"S".

I have had both KDWS and KDW2's both are excellent. I think the KDWS's were an outstanding summer tire, perhaps a bit quieter. They were the best rain tires I have ever owned though I havent pushed the new KDW2's yet. Get the best price and go with it. $128 at Tire Rack
