    AWD lug nut gap?

So I got my Magnum AWD RT last week from a used car dealer. The dealer had 20" wheels on it while it was on the lot. I didn't like the 20s they had so I told them to go ahead and put the OEM wheel back on. I've since noticed what seems to me to be an unusually large gap on the lug nuts. Is this normal/correct or did they use the wrong nuts?

No that does not look right. Pull back on the picture so we can see the whole wheel. AWD wheels should look like mine. Follow the link below.

OEM wheels use larger diameter lug nuts (outside diameter). The lug is 14x1.25. The larger OEM ones have a larger contact patch in the cone area. My OEM ones would not fit on my aftermarket wheels.

    sure doesn't look good.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

is there any play in the wheels?

have you grabbed them and pushed back and forth on the wheels?

Something definitely doesn't look right. It's hard to tell from the picture, but are there spacers between the nuts and the wheel? If so, that's not right.

I wonder if they used lugs meant for the RAM. Honestly those lugs are crap anyway. My dealer keeps breaking them when they rotate the tires. Maybe best to just go get a set of gorilla's or something.

There is no play in the wheels, I now know they aren't correct, but the Dodge dealer wants $85 for a set of replacement lugs. Invader, you want to get rid of your OEM lugs that you have?

If you just bought it the dealer should give you the correct lugs... If not.. save yourself $60 and buy this set of gorillas for $26

They are solid instead of that hollow stock crap.

Holy crap, don't pay them that much for crappy lugs. Get the ones RA linked to.

Thanks for the help, order these this morning. Now I'm on to changing the exhaust, but that's a different thread.
