Be careful with the offset! The factory 7.5" wide wheels are 55mm offset. If you run too wide of a wheel with the same offset, you may have interference with the steering knuckle.
Can anyone post their personal experience with aftermarket AWD fitments? Width AND offset please!
I like those wheels, but what size and width are they ?
If 8-9" wide, you're gonna need a wheel with an offset of about 38-50mm, not the factory 55 which is on the OEM 7.5"-wide wheel
I'm using 20x8 rims with a 50mm offset and they fit awesome. Tire size is 255/45R20 and what I recommend.
They fit perfectly on the 8" wheel and no sidewall bulging or stretching.
NOTE: these wheels are only available in 5x114.3mm bolt pattern if being fitted on an AWD ... the offset offered is 35mm but only on the 5x114.3 (aka 5x4.5") bolt pattern.

Tirerack.com is recommending a 45mm offset with a 20x9" wheel ...

I'm just going with the stock 18" as I already have new tires. The dealer I was talking to said that American quotes it as an 18 x 8 with the 55 offset. Definately something to look into though.....
Actually I just looked around the American Racing site, they show 18 x 8 rims in the 35-45 mm offset. They don't show the 338 as being an option for my car. Obviously they just looked up the stock offset found a wheel that was the same offset and didn't care that it was .5 of an inch wider. It obviously makes a difference. Again LX Forums comes to the rescue. Thanks to all that pointed this out. The reason I am looking for pictures is that some rims such as the 338's look great with a 2 or 3 inch lip, but look way different when you see it with little or no lip as it would be on a 55 offset. Again thanks all!
I am running a 18 X 8 with a 42 mm offset and they do not stick out past the fenders.

These whees are actually American Eagle Boss 338 wheels.
Not American Racing...most of which are cast in China.
American Eagle Wheels are made in the USA and sold at a very reasonable price here in the mid-west (S.W. Ohio) Here's an outfit in Columbus w/nice prices!
