HI guys,

thanks, but I am looking for wheels a little more economical. I don't want to spend 1g on a single wheel.
20x8.5..$675.00.
How much for a 22 x 9.5 in the HI Octane?Originally Posted by darkrt

Smoove, I ordered the Flyte 20x8.5 through Doscount Tire. Don't know about the pricing for 22x9.5.
thanks for the info, I'll try to look into itOriginally Posted by darkrt
These are the custom 18"x8" Boyd Coddington Smoothie IIs I got for $1,500 for the set, though they have gone up since then:
I'm pretty sure that this style tops out at 20", but some of the other Boyd Coddington rims are available in 22", and since they are custom made you can be sure that they'll be the right bolt pattern and offset for your car (even if it is an AWD).
You can either google for them, or just use this link.
Whew! The ones I like are $600 apiece. I'm not willing to pay much more than $300 a wheel.Originally Posted by IDSmoker
You might want to check out the other wheel threads. I seem to recall reading that someone had found a local dealer who was able to beat the online price on the Boyd's!

Smoove7410 - Those wheels are made by Sinister Wheels. I've been tracking those wheels, called the X5, since October of last year. Ali is one of the main guys there, and according to him, the 20 inch version is available right now. However, if you want the 22 inch set, you're on a long waiting list. I was at the top of that list until I caved in and bought a set of TIS 07s. The current waiting time for the 22 inch X5 is late October.
The manufacture that chrome plates these wheels was having problems with certain areas, so they had to destroy the original mold and start new. Although it will still have it's "deep lip" (6 inches), not much has really changed. If you live in the general Los Angeles area, there's a shop called STI Motorsports near Washington Blvd and La Cienega Blvd, in Culver City, that has one on display. This is the only shop in California that has it, since Ali (of Sinister Wheels) is the cousin of one of the owners of STI. I had digital pictures of what they look like next to the car, and it looks insane, but I can't get my camera to download them. Here is their website below. If you look through their gallery, they have a Corvette and a Cadillac Seville on some X5s. Also, you might want to go through Sinister directly, because STI Motorsports will charge you and extra $1500 for them. Trust me, Sinister knows me by name, with the number of times I've called them to check on this wheel... Who knows, I might eventually get a set later on.... Good luck!!
