24" tires / wheels

I was wondering what tires to get for some wheels I am considering. The wheels are 24x9.5 wth a 35mm offset. So they WILL work with my AWD. I just don't know what size tire to get. Anyone got ideas? I found a post about this, but further insight would be great.

For tires you're gonna want to get 275/25/24.

A 30 series tire will work, but you will have to shave the bolt. A 25 series tire has not needed to have the bolt shaved on the many of LX cars by me. If you live in a place with bad roads, then you might want to spend money on the 30 series ones and shave the bolt down.

255-30-24 will do ya right! Or you can get 275-30-24 but that requires a little more work.

I did the 255/30/24 Toyos this weekend and it is seriously FANTASTIC, doesnt look like much rubber but the ride is unbelievable, you could never tell my car has 24s while riding in it...The only issue I had is that I had to get different nylon locknuts and grind the bolt off, just takes a lil more time...I wanted to buy pirellis but they werent available so I jumped on the Proxxes 4s which was definitely a good choice, just my .02

I can hardly believe these fit up under and do not rub! I love the look! A guy in our local town has his 06 Mag w 22's for sale and the tires tore up the front wheel lip... guess he went with the wrong size tires!

Gotta remember it's for an AWD. Same car I got. the suspension knuckle goes straight up, makes for an offset nearly identical to a FWD. RWD knuckle curves over the tire. That sets the hubs 'n rotors, etc more inside the body than our AWDs but brings the body of the car down closer to the wheels. That's why you have to shave the knuckle bolt above the tire so as to prevent it from slicing up your tire. You CAN go with a 30series tire, but contrary to popular belief, it's not much more tire profile. Remember this: Because us AWD owners can't do the DEEP dishes that the rest of you can, we must also pay attention to lock-to-lock turn spacing and back spacing when we choose a wheel. Our wheels, especially in 24" with ANY offset are more apt to skim the outer front portion of the fender in a turn. So when you try to run that 30series tire on that ET35mm wheel you'll understand that more rubber on the road can also give you less ability to turn lock-to-lock. ie Less spacing.
