235/60 18 on stock AWD rims

I have an '08 Magnum R/T AWD and would like to replace the stock 225/60 Conti's with a 235/60 on the stock rims.

Firstly, would this cause any clearance issues? The local Costco tire guy I spoke with told me that it would.

Secondly, what recommendations do people have on a choice for a 235/60 18? (I want to stick with 60 profile as it is crucial for me to have as smooth a ride as possible.) The only reason I want to go from 225 to 235 is that I'd like to go a tad wider than stock.

The 235/60x18 tires are about the same height as 255/55x18s just narrower so I'm sure you won't have any clearance issues on a 2wd. Don't know what the differences are in the AWD cars. Many of us have 255/55x18 tires on our cars with no clearance problems. 235/55x18 tires are a possiblity. I replaced my originals with that size. They are a little shorter than stock. 245/55x18s are the same diameter.

The big stores like Costco, Sam's Club and others won't install tires that are a different size from stock due to liability issues. The last I was told at Sam's was that they would go 10mm wider if the profile was 5% shorter.

I run 235/60-18 blizzaks on my '05 RT RWD. No issues.

In case you still have not made your tire purchase yet, I have run 235 60 18 Pirelli Ice and Snow on my AWD for two years and there is clearance to spare. I checked after install. They look better than the stock size too.
