I just put 22's on my car and the tire size is 265/35/22 and they rub in the front only when i am in reverse and turning. Does anybody have any info that could help me out for a fix for this problem or any ideas??
Much appreciated all.
Cheers

Thanks for that useless comment steve, clearly it was a typo.... Tires like that would be pretty hard to come by!
I assume you meant you have the 265/35/22 tires. If you are having issues in reverse, it is likely a problem with the offset/size of your wheels, not necessarily the tires themselves. Some people have solved this problem with the 3mm spacer on the fronts to stop the rubbing. I havent looked into this problem all that much, but I know most people have had luck fixing it.
Dont worry though, you arent alone with this issue. Im sure someone who has experience this first hand will chime in with a fix for you. The offset of my wheels is +18 and Im running the 265/35 tires and dont rub at all, what is your offset? Any idea?

Don't listen to anything Pat says.
That is all.

my offset is 15mm, they came of a Charger as i bought them slightly used.
Yes it was a typo...![]()
Yeah Im willing to bet that more likely than not, all you need is the 3mm spacers for the front wheels and you'll be good to go. Look into finding a set of those, shouldnt be too expensive or anything. Let me know how it goes.

also you may want to make sure they did not put the wieghts on the lip of the rim, I had a friend who had a set that the weight rubbed in the front because they put them on the inner lip. probably not the problem but just my 2 cents.

i appreciate all of the help with this. Will look into spacers.

What is it rubbing on? For me the rubbing was on the inside edge of the tire, against the control arm. I had to go with 7mm spacers for mine to clear. I have the same size wheels tires as you, but with a 20mm offset.

^^^ Your issue could be related to the fact that you are running 9" wide rims. That changes the situation, and thus offset cant be applied similarly to someone with say, a 9.5" wide wheel, which tends to be the more commonly run size on these cars. Just my opinion....
Every wheel and tire setup is different though, but Im willing to be a 3mm spacer will solve this case, as others have also suggested.

awesome info guys!! have checked with Bones and the 3mm spacers ar $60 + shipping. Will give them a try.
Thanks again from your neighbor to the North!!
