    20's, 22's, 24's ? Is it just me........

....... Or does any one else NOT like big rims. I actually prefer a little sidewall on a tire.

I was all excited when I saw Cragar was going to make SS's for the LX's. Until I saw them. The spokes are too long and it makes them look skinny........ Even the 18's don't look right. Too many years of looking ar 15's I guess.......

My SE came with 17's, maybe they will make some SS's or Torque Thrusts in that size.......

I would guess you're very much in the minority here.

Although there is such a thing as too much - these cars beg for large wheels. The length of the vehicle and wheelbase along with the large openings demand it. I personally dig having 20s come from the factory (I just wish they were staggered with 10" in the rear)

i agree with bobf too.. i saw the concepts of are vehicles with 20s on them and they were staggered but they came out with 18s and 17s,
unless your lucky enough to get a srt8 but yeah 20s are nice if drop it and you get an aggresive stance and you dont lose performance.
I got 22s on my 300c cause im going more of a show but i think it all depends on the person and what are trying to do with the car...just my 2 cents

I'm with ya jbp! Actually, 18" rims are insanely huge to the "average" person you meet on the street in small town USA. I was thinking exactly the same thing on my last trip cross country. I hit so many rough back roads and such that there is no way I'd want less sidewall than the 18" provides. I might let a 20" go maybe, but absolutely nothing bigger. I'd replace the rims with 18" if I bought new today.

I would love to drop mine and have a 50% stiffer rate (Hotchkis will be done before fall) and have 22" wheels for track times. The reallity for me is that I run it all year and in two countrys. Canadian roads in March are a true adventure!!! I actually caught air a few times in Western Quebec this spring.

Personally, I think the 18" are just perfect. 20" i'm ok with, everything bigger, again IMHO, is just too big and looks dumb on the car. I do think the big wheels look ok in pictures, but in person I'm not liking them at all.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

I'm with the 20" crew... 22's start to get tacky (depending on the wheel, of course), but 20's look right at home in the massive gaping abyss of a wheel well on the lx's.

I like larger sidewalls too! I want some shoulder to my tires. The BFG KDWII's on an 18 or 20 looks PERFECT to me. I really enjoy the look of a nice meaty masculine looking tire...

I have 20's and love em, even though tires replacements could make you crazy with the cost!

I like the wheel well stuffed. Don't like short side walls. That's the ricer look.

You can either stuff it with tires or wheels, its the same height.
You actually have more sidewall with 22's on a Magnum than a ricer does with 17's. Do the math. But, then again, I am sittin' on 22's & would never go back!

I guess its all a matter of what look you like, whether it be 'ol skool or new! (and yes, the spelling was intentional)

My personal preference is for the 18" wheels--I like meat on them bones! It is killing me to keep the stock Contiseals, I want to ditch 'em ASAP for the BF Goodrich tires, but I can't bring myself to toss away a perfectly good set of tires just yet! However, I know that some folks like a bigger wheel, and I say, it's your thang, do what you wanna do!

If you want to see some folks get downright irate over big rims, check out this thread over on the charger forums. And yes, I am guilty of helping to hijack that thread, shame on me.
