I just go my 275/40 20 Nitto drag radials mounted yesterday. I drove them 50 miles to the track. I could not tell the difference between them and my Invos. I'm still on stock halfshafts so I was a little tentative at the track. My best 60' was 1.85. My previous best at this track was a 1.98. They would definitely take a harder launch. Overall I'm very pleased with them. I had my personal best last night with a 11.82 @ 116.50.

So what are your impressions as of now.
Do you guys think that the stock shafts would hold up on the street with these at full tire PSI? My experience has been that they spin at 30 psi. I want them just to spin less...
Solid progress Rob. Just my .02 but at this point (over 25 1.7X launches and a killer 1.67 60' last weekend on my well used SRT8 rear/axles) I am of the mindset it is more about technique than pure HP.
It is proven you can break an axle with stock engine/tires.....quite a few situations are a result of wild spin then grab situations or wheel hop creating tremendous shock to the components. I recommend nice even burnouts in 1st gear..... let out of the throttle and let the car roll out as it grabs. Above all, let out of the throttle the second you feel slippage off the line. Slippage at WOT followed up by a dead hook at 6000rpms/20mph will no doubt result in broken parts.
Good luck,
Chris

I just got back from the track. I had more 1.8 60' times with my "girl scout" style burnouts. I'm leaving off idle and pushing the pedal down. I'm not smashing it. I hit the N20 about 30 feet out. I've been driving the tires for about a week now. To me they drive no different than my regular radials. We had a little rain in the past two days. They roads were wet and the tires worked fine.
I think with leaving harder off the line I could definitely get into the 1.7 with these tires. Once I have a spare set of halfshafts, I'll give that a try. I may even put in those 150 shot jets.
