    2" drop on an MSRT

I want a 1.5 or 2" drop on my MSRT. I can't afford an air system at this time. What is the cheapest safest way to go?

Spring kits are great for this purpose. Eibach is a great choice.

EDIT: Its the Eibach Pro kit. http://www.razorsedgemotorsports.com/eiprosysuki2.html

Pedders Shocks and Springs are on sale right now... You can get the car lowered, and also Upgrade the shocks and not worry about the load leveling.

Under $860.00 for shocks and springs!

Call me if you are interested Paul@peddersusa.com

    Greg...

Cheapest place to get new shocks & struts (since the SRT has load leveling system out back) is tirerack.com...$402 for Eibach's Pro-Damper set.

    http://www.tirerack.com/suspension/s...840&perfCode=S

Combine that with the drop spring of your choice.

Please clarify: moonstreaker and hemi4me? You both mentioned the load leveling system. It is my understanding that only Magnums or SRTs with the tow package have load leveling. Since I don't have the tow package, I don't think I have to worry about load leveling suspension out back. True?

I have seen some RTs, maggys, SRTs have them

If you measure the rear shock and they are over 59mm then they are the load leveling.

I thought all SRT's had the Nivomats in the back?

Put 500-600 lbs of stuff back there and go drive around, does the ride height climb back to normal after a bit?

I have a set of Eibach Prokits I might be talked out of if you go that route...

All the MSRT8's have Nivomat shocks/dampers and they are self-leveling. That's why we can't just add lowering springs and call it a day.

Eibach makes dampers for us but they don't make springs to go along with them for the MSRT8. So you'd have to find other springs and then you get into a whole new set of compatibility issues.

Honestly, once you figure it all out, your best bet is to go with a coil over system and a nice set of sways. But then you're well over $1000, not including installation.

Personally, I'm dying to lower my MSRT8 and will eventually use the KW2's with Hotchkis sways, but finances just aren't cooperating right now. Good luck!

If you do this I am interested in your Take-Off Rear shocks and springs.

How many miles are on the car?

Thanks all. I just chscked dodge marketing material and it says that only Mags with the tow package have the load leveling system. I'm going to do some more checking. There are 14K miles on my MSRT.

Used SRT suspension usually sells for $350-450 then you have $200-600 labor minimum. Now you want someones take off used suspension on your car? Not sure that is the best idea in my opinion.

ALL SRT-8's have load leveling shocks.

RT's with the tow package have load leveling shocks.

No load leveling without the tow package on RT (and sxt) only.
