    16X8 w/ 285/60's will they fit 300?

Before you ask - this is the size wheel/tire I want to run on my 300 touring. Why? Because this is the largest wheel/tire combo I can find that will allow me to use T/A radilals with RWL's. I'm really going for late 70's ealy eighties look. I know no one out there will like it, many will think me deranged and I'm sure most will think it's stupid. I understand and really don't care. Just need to know if they'll actuall fit before I order them. Any help here would be GREATLY appreciated.

Check out this tire size calculator.

Plenty of folks (including me) have used a 285-40-20 or 295-40-20 on the rear of their LX's. I used the calculator to compare to your size and it's pretty close. 285 would be too wide for the front, I wouldn't go any wider than a 275. The main question is if a 16" rim will clear your brakes. Also, you've got to pay close attention to the wheel offset. Good luck!

Thanks for the info - looks like it should work - they make a 255/70 that would probably work in the front - I'll take her to the wheels shop and see if it can be done.
