    A Canadian MYSTERY REVEILED

So by now everyone has seen the list of intakes for the MFO
At the bottom you see in red something about a Mystery Intake...

    R-Value Intakes of Canada
    proudly announces:

The Chinook: A seamless one piece design made of silicone with a proprietary weave reinforcement. This includes the breather hose!!

The slow heat absorption rate and rapid heat expulsion qualities of silicone is widely used in many applications.

What does this mean for you?

Consistent Air Temperature at the track:
Though yet to be proven,in theory the air temp should stay relatively stable with only slight(if any) spike when sitting at the light or staging at the track.

Are we going to make any wild claims? Not one.

Four high gloss colors will initially be produced Black,Red,Blue,Hemi orange.
    Custom colors available.
Full silicone hose sets and new colors will debut later this winter/ spring.

Production date was scheduled for January, however due to the MFO in Dec,
R-Value Intakes is doing everything possible to have a production piece ready for testing.

Vendor status is pending...R-Value Intakes will be an LX Forums EXCLUSIVE!!

Unfortunately this is all the information that is available at this time.

Pictures, will be posted at a later date.

Sorry I can give you what I don't have!! Like stated earlier the time frame has been moved messing a few things up. As soon as they release anything I will post it here for now.

Prices? The name gives a hint at the price

What no love for 3.5 ? HECK YA!!
Coming in spring of '09: The Canadian Clipper!!

    Update:
Due to time needed for tooling and production lead time we will not be available for testing at MFO.
    As stated previously the
debut was scheduled Jan and we are now looking at late Nov early Dec.

Thank You in advance for your consideration and support

    Ed

    Thank You so much.
It was with great intrepidation I made this public.

The MOFO is an event that would put this product we are offering in it's rightful place, right from the beginning.

Actually, when the GIFO (Great Intake Face-Off) was up for a renaming since we were expanding beyond intakes, a contest was posted asking everyone what the best new name would be. (see: "GIFO: Find us a New I").GIFO had made its mark and was a Big Deal. We were gonna get sponsors, quit our day jobs, wear lab coats all the time and get the hot chicks. So what would it be? Would we change the letter? GAFO? GEEFO? GUFO? Lots of people had lots of ideas.

At which point I made the greatest post of my post-making lifetime.

So much for the corporate sponsorships, and yes we eventually did come up with what it stood for.

I've relocated to outside of Windsor to start this venture but thanks for the offer. I will keep you informed

Please refer to the first page of the MFO. It has been given that misnomer before, I apologize for the confusion.

    Yes, guilty as charged!

Here in Windsor, automotive resources abound. It was only natural to work with what's in your own backyard.
