I just got this email from Master_Cheif aka DaddysBabyBentley. Does he own NorCalLX or everything Northern California? Am I in the wrong??

Ok, a rephrase. I sent out an email to some friends who used to be in the club, responding to an email sent by another former member. I did not go pulling emails from a club list. I also made threads for a NorCal or Northern California caravan. At no point did I use the club name, NorCalLX. I even said this was not club affiliated. I have left the NorCalLX forum and caravan alone, as I have no desire to interfere with their activities. Now apparently this guy OWNS all things Northern California? What am I supposed to do, leave the region? I am more than a little angry right now. And in case anyone was wondering, its tactics like this and specifically this man that made me leave the club.

Yet the title of your convoy was named "Norcal" convoy. Then after you got some of the membership confused thinking your back and helping the club again they signed up. I then received multiple emails from current members wondering if this was the official NorCal LX Caravan. Then to advertise the renamed convoy, your using official NorCal LX email lists. When we took emails down from the website we were entrusted that they would only be used for club business.

Please cease and desist all usage of NorCal LX, the name, the emails and all parts subject to the clubs property.

Not hearing the whole story, I'm not too sure what to say. The preliminary feeling I'm having is that this guy is a d*ck! Regardless of his affiliation with said club, unless there's a copywrite to the name, he certainly has no reason to correspond with a statement like that.

Now on a happier note........how are you feeling?

Hmmmmm......far as I knew NorCal has been around forever......Maybe he should send an E-mail to NorCal Speed Shop as well.Sounds to me like someone's on a power trip.

He probably has no intrest in the lx platform the social aspect of the forums. Just wants to be the "head" of something.People like him are not worth a second thought.

I realize people dislike the ticky-tack spelling call-outs, but then when one uses the leagalese of cease and desist you would expect them to realize they should have used the contraction your'e (you are) instead of your. I would think a judge would turn down a lawyer's request based upon this faux pau. Again sorry for the call-out on the typo, I don't mean to offend, but if you are using words to intimidate, use the correct ones. Pass me a snickers someone . . . NOW!

As custodians of the email lists that we had from the original NorCal LX website, we have a responsibility to keep those lists private. When people signed up on the website they were told these email addresses would soley be used for club business. My private email to you concerning this is only after members you have on your list have contacted me with confussion about the caravan info being sent to them as if it were club buseiness. In other words they were not contacted to see if they wanted to be maintained on any such list that would be used for advertisments that you are providing. They were under the assumption that you are acting on behalf of the club still. This is false and should be clarified. This is actually very easily remedied as I mentioned in my private message to you. Your reasons for leaving. You told me in civil conversation before that you were burned out. You had just completed the Georgia Run and two other major runs before that. So which is it. I would hate to think you were lieing to me then, or is it now. Or maybe a little of both.
