    e&g mesh grille install problem

well i recieved my grille yesterday and i was trying to install it today. i took off the stock grille after an hour lol and then i noticed i dont have the right tools for it. i called the dealer and asked for a price to install it and they said $130. damn!!! that is a lot! i was wondering if anyone is around the norwalk/santa fe springs/whittier area that has done an install like this that would do it for me. and i will pay you but i sure wont pay $130 lol tell me a price and i will think about it

You can do it. Need a rivet gun from what I can remember. It is tons easier to remove your nose. And that is not that hard. If I can help let me know.

I bought a rivet gun for about 12 dollars canadian.. you don't need a good one.. they are a good investment and are super cheap.. alot cheaper than 130 USD to install the grill. ;-)

OK from what I can remember when I did mine. There was some member, that lived in apartments, that pulled his nose in the parking lot to install. I said if he can do it in a parking lot, I sure as hell can do it in my garage. Pulling the nose off you will need to snip a few rubber/plastic rivets in the wheel well. Replace those with some replacement fastners.

You'll need some SAE and metric sockets for a few bolts. Disco some lighting wires and the nose just slides off. Even has some guides to make reinstall easy.

Drill some holes for rivets on the lower part of the grille, some paint on the upper tabs and you are done. I took my time and did it in about 4 hours. But I am quite anal when it comes to stuff like that.

Rivet gun is $15 at the most at AZ or Lowes. Socket set maybe $10. Save the $130, dive into it yourself and learn from the experience. Once you do there will be nothing to stop you from the MOD BUG.

    Good luck
