    Dealer Markup Maximus

I think I found the highest markup on a Dodge vehicle. Or at least a good starting point for the discussion...

How are they gonna sell that?!
Even rich people know when they're being ripped off.

A local Ford dealer bought like 10 of the Thunderbirds when they were re-released a few years back (2002?) and proceeded to mark them up 30K each. As of 2004, they were STILL marked up 30K! Well shonuff, to this day he still has 8 of em! Hope the scumbag winces every time he comes into the dealership and sees them too! Terrible, terrible dealership.

Almost every vehicle I looked at on the lot was marked up. Now they have offered $1K and $2K "rebates" on some Magnums with the markup sticker still attached. Amazing...

That's why you have to negotiate with the fleet manager via Email. Never ever step foot into the dealership untill you've negotiated the price. I got my RT for just a little over invoice that way.

Friends don't let friends pay dealer markup...
