Solo.... Linda couldn't get off work!

So far so good... no rain, but a ton of bugs! Just gotta get mentally prepared for the drive through LA tomorrow! Love driving through southern Oregon and northern CA... traffic was fairly light for the most part, and was able to cruise between 80-90 mph for a good distance. Took 9 hours to get to Stockton... not bad!

Ok.. so here is where I must say...

Hi... My name is Scott, and Im an addict.

As I have said before, my last car. I washed all of 3 maybe 4 times, in the 10 years I owned it..

Now, its been detailed once, and is washed once a week. True its a car wash, but the detail guy recommended this place, and said he knows the shop and its fine...

But now, I actually go through the wash, and dry my car! Then when I get home, I go around and dry it again since some of the water might have not been gotten on the first pass!!!

    I need help!

So... umm.. where is a good place to get a shammi I can leave in the car? Thats the help I need! And my sway bars!! still waiting..!

LOL! Yup... that's pretty much the same for me. If someone had told me (before I got my Magnum) that I would be "dusting" my car every morning, I would have told them they were nuts! And, before this car, I had never even heard of microfiber towels.

Yea, John (fatchance) introduced me to microfiber towels and now I own about 15 of them. They wor great for drying and detailing the cars. I was just at target the other day and they have a whole section of microfiber stuff for a descent price too. I would also add clay to your detailing package too. I couldn't believe how well it worked on my car. Absolutely amazing!

Yeah... today, I thought I'd be calling Linda from jail to bale me out!

I was having a little fun driving through the barren areas between Stockton and LA. Frequently, when I was in a section where there were no other cars and no intersections, I stepped on the gas a bit. I had to to test whether the rev limiter change I did with the SC was working. It was!

Anyway... on one open section, I got on it pretty good, cruising along for about a mile or so. I slowed down as I started to approach some other vehicles. A few moments later, I look in my mirror and see a car gaining on me really fast. I look again a moment later, and sure enough... a CHP! Oh crap!!! By this time, I was back down to my normal crusing speed of 80. I'm in the right lane, getting ready to pull over... he's in the left lane, but I'm expecting him to pull behind me and flip the lights on. But, he goes barrelling right by me! Huh... how'd I luck out on that one? About a quarter mile up, he pulls behind a SUV and flips his lights on. I don't know what happened, but that was my last "spirited" sprint of the day!
