    The test drive

    http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...s=25&cardist=5

So I had nothing better to do on wednesday while my wife was having some minor surgery done so the girls and I went and grabbed a bite and decided to go look at this 300 SRT8 (Always wanted to drive one).
We go over and park a bit from the main dealer and kind of walk in but were spotted so over came slick and his sales push. We chatted it up for a while on how great that car was and ya mine was just ok so I really needed to trade it in.
Well after another couple had stopped in to look it over as well we decided to take it for a little spin and off we went. We head down some local streets and I play with the throttle a bit and have some fun with it, awesome power BTW. Then it was off to the freeway.
So we hit 405 and are headed up towards Kirkland and we get over a couple lanes and I hit it and right at about 65-70MPH we here this gawd awefull sound which sounds like we had a major blowout, however the car was not reacting like a tire blew so I slowed down to about 55-60 and it mostly went away. So after seeing the front end (back at the dealer) and the recent grill replacement I had a fairly good idea that the cover under the car was not bolted back up. We get pulled over to the side and sure enough no bolts are holding this thing. So we get turned around and back down to the dealer and I mention to slick that they should get some bolts on that and get it fixed and slick says "naw we will just throw some zip ties on it" I get a chuckle out of that and think to myself I wouldn't bring a car in for service if that is how you all work on stuff here.

So anyways it was fun to drive one and who knows maybe someday...

Be careful...the HP can be addictive!!! And yer right...I'd stay away from that stealership. That's a pretty cheapskate fix...unless he was kidding.
