Other people have made this kind of power w/this engine but they all had built bottom ends, Chuck is the only one I know of that hit this level w/stock pistons/rods.

I'm sure that he was...still can't believe that the stock pistons (not forged and usually the weak link) and rings held at this level.

That's the 2.4l right? I've always liked those, just not the auto tranny they put on them.

SRT 4's are all 5 speed ( new Caliber is 6 speed) cars, the GT Cruiser has the same engine (except for intake mani.) available w/auto.

That is impressive. Makes me wish I'd done more with my '03 SRT4 for a good 10 seconds, then I remember I have a challenger SRT8 now that I traded it in on... and I don't feel bad at all

Before I bought my Charger, I had looked at a couple of SRT4s that were on the lot at Alan Webb and I liked them, but I figured that if I were to buy one, I might as well kept my truck for what it would have cost me in gas. I still wouldn't mind owning one, but for me to have kept premium in the tank at the time would have defeated my purpose on gas.

What kind of mileage do you get w/the Charger? My wife's old SXT didn't do any better than her SRT8 Maggie. A lot of guys run regular 87 oct w/meth/H2O inj.

The thing that I never could figure out was a little stupid but here it is. What the bloody hell was up with power front windows and roll up rear windows??? Otherwise, I always loved the Neon-Gone-Wrong. Although I only ever knew one or two that could keep up to my 05 Legacy GT. Still fast and fun and reliable cars though.
