I want to do this badly and even bought a sound activated cold cathode in blue. Unfortunately, I'm all thumbs when it comes to electrical and need a very in depth write up. I don't want to blow up my car McGyver style.

Doc it shouldn't be hard. All you need to do is know how many amps the cold cathode is going to run on ( im betting 12 ) then look in your fuse box for a 12 amp circuit. you can splice it in where ever works. I used to run my first (small) amp through my cig lighter =)

you want the festoon bulbs with 9 leds 44x10mm x 2 for the front, make sure you get the 9 led ones, the ones I got were the smaller ones and they just barely fit due to length.

and the back is wedge type 194 , pretty much any small wedge type bulb is 194.
