    Shops

At some point in the future, I'm planning on doing some work that I can't do myself (Cam and Suspension, wideband, headers, etc.). I'm trying to see if anyone knows of some good shops for this kind of stuff. I looked, and there only seems to be 2 Pedders authorized dealers in WA that deal with American cars, and as of now, I'm going to go with pedders (probably won't be for a while, but I'll get to that). There's also a shop that my buddy just used that deals mostly with imports, but said that as long as it wasn't too difficult (like the Cam or the wideband) then they would be able to do it, and I like the guys/service.

My problem is that I would rather get all my work done at the same shop, rather then have a different shop everytime I need something done. The following two links are the two pedders dealers, but I was wondering if anyone had anything to say on either shop, or the matter at hand.

    Currently:
MBRP Cat-Back, Predator. Hoping I will get my AEFIS, or atleast some of my money back now

    Future:
Go to save up and work on making the fastest N/A engine out there. Everyone needs goals, no?

Double check but I contacted Auto FX and they said they were not hooked up with Pedders. Hopefully I'm wrong because they are an awesome shop.

I have seen first hand Norpac do a pedders install on a GTO, but not positive if they have done one on an LX but I'm sure that they have. They also own a Supercharged charger that they did the install on.

AutoFX is an awesome shop and there electronics manager is a member here with his own Magnum. They do top notch work, I have had tint and alarm work done there. They are also a factory authorized saleen installer so I'm sure their wrenching abilities are second to none as well.

    Good luck on your choice!

I appreciate the vote of confidence from both members; thank you so much.

It is true that we have done Pedders equipment in the past, and it is good product. The issue we have is that when a Pedders rep will quote a customer installed prices on equipment they are not installing.

We at Auto FX know what time frame it takes to do a quality job, and will not sacrifice a quality installation in an effort appease a manufacturer. To us, it is no different than accepting an insurance company's estimate for body damage, and the shop having to cut corners to meet that quote. The end result is a severe disservice to the customer, and will not happen at Auto FX, Inc.

you dont need an autherized pedders dealer, go to a shop near you, it will save alot of time.I had norpac do my trackII install, they f-ed it up so bad (parts were falling off), got tired of driving 6 hours to get it fixed. They did pay for my local shop to fix all the problems though,.go to a local shop you trust!!

Not really any shop I trust. My first car just went to Firestone for work, and that will never happen again. Second one, I've done all the work minus some fiberglassing/paint. So really looking for a quality shop.

And as the days go by, this shop my friend went to seems worse and worse.

Anyway, I'll probably check out AutoFX when I am in need of something, because they are nice and close :P

And just a BTW, I enjoy low prices as much as anyone, but when it's my baby, I would rather quality work anyday (or doing it myself, which isn't really quality, but it feels good anyway)
