Feel like it's my duty as a Canadian to point this out "I shatter my ankle and you bring me a LITE BEER!?" Hope you recover quickly and you will learn to drive with your left foot.

LOL they said they could even put me in a walking cast because the bone was so bad. The security officers at the Tacoma mall have a few of those. All I can think of is the movie mall cop when I see them cruising around the parking lot. And there is noting to take a picture of yet. they threw a temp. cast on it as soon as I got to the hospital. Im sure ill get some pics before the surgery though.

This was brought up at formation today. My First Sergeant was all concerned about it.

Anyway, I am wishing you a speedy recovery and thank you for what you do officer.

Here is a few pictures of the carnage.

In case you cant see the break its on the left side where the smaller bone meets the ball of my foot. They said it is going to require a metal plate and screws to repair but since the ankle is still so swollen they have to wait another 2 weeks before surgery.

So, by waiting, isn't there concern that the bone is healing/fusing in the wrong position? Will the have to break it again in surgery? I'm sure they know what they're doing, I was just curious.
