    Painting the Maggie this summer..

I've decided this summer I'm going to attempt to paint my Magnum. I've gone over color after color, styles and all. I want something different, but sharp and sexy to the everyday person.

So here is my plan, which might change, for summer:

A Matte Black (flat black) paint job w/ jet black (or something like it) racing strips.
Then shade the taillights, lightly to give the red a darker hue.
And lastly powdercoat my wheels black, until I upgrade.
Oh and window tint. 20% for the front two windows and limo tint for the rest (which ive been told is legal if it's a 4-door vehicle)

I know it all comes down to personal taste, but any opinions? I love the matte black, seen it on mostly exotic cars... but also a few "cheaper" cars.

I heard matte black is harder to do than a "normal" paint job but I've seen the Magnum with it done and it's AWESOME!!
    Truly menacing!
Can't wait to see some pics when you get it all completed.

don't really dig the gloss on matte of the same color..... but that's just a personal preference thing.

I agree with the earlier quote on putting gloss black stripes on the flat black...I'd need to see it before I could say I liked the idea. I'd be more in favor of putting another flat color over the flat black, maybe flat silver, or hemi orange...something to contrast if thats what you're intending with the gloss stripes.

Whatever you do though, as long as you like it, that's what matters. It will look sick either way. Mr Incredible, a member on these forums, has a 300c SRT that he murdered out...looks hella ill.

IMO, the Maggie lends itself really well to bigger/more complex pinstriping designs on top of flat black. I think it has the stance and the profile to really pull off that "vintage" hot-rod type of scheme.
