    Paddle Shifters - First Impressions

The install went pretty much as planned. Brad and I did learn a few things and I'll be putting up a How To after I do some editing.

    First Impressions are:
    • They work great!
    • Very positive engagement - you won't accidentally shift if you are tapping the paddles in time with your tunes. You have to consciously apply a little bit of pressure to engage them.
    • No shifting lag. The signal is moving at the speed of electrons through just a little bit of wire and a relay so it's quick. When you are hard on the throttle it shifts fast, when you are just cruising it shifts firm but not hard...just like AutoStick does.
    • They look like they belong in the car.
    • You won't go back to using the shifter handle except to put it in Park, Reverse and Drive.
    Highly recommended mod...go do it!!!

Hey Michael, do you have a thread somewhere that shows the breakdown of the parts and prices?

That looks like a sweet mod!

No, I don't, Slim. contact atwong1 for the paddles, plcman for the harness, lockout board and, if you want the option, a lockout board with the linelock feature.

Steve, there's a lot of links and info here:

Paddle Shifter Wiring Harness Install - Step by Step

No prices listed in that thread, but all the originating threads are linked to at the top of the first post.

Just an FYI if you missed it. Back to you, Michael!

Hmmmm, maybe an Oregon area multi-paddle shifter mod party part two???

Hank and I know how to do them, now. I won't speak for Hank but I'd be more than glad to help you with the mod, Don.

I've been loving mine. Since it's dry, I've been driving the car and it's soooo sweet to use the paddles!
