oooooh what's this? "my ode to MADDOG"

Sorry couldn't resist.........and honestly I wouldn't be a junkie in need of a fix if MADDOG hadn't gotten me onto this forum. SO here are a few pixs of the parts as they come in. The converter gets installed this week. If all the other parts make it in over next two weeks the build will hopefully begin Friday 20th with a tear down on that day with full build up Saturday until whenever....as date firms up I will provide address for those interested in watching, wrenching or whatever. BTW first time posting photo's so be kind if it doesn't work.....

Yes halfshafts are definately on the list, but I want to get the motor tune done first. Maybe I will just break the shafts while tuning the motor, so I have a legite reason to replace them. Once motor is tuned then we add the goofy juice and shafts will be a must.

BTW I am expecting you to show up with a wrench, but please leave the foam and fiberglass products at home cuz you'll confuse me....

My guess would be a "Head" in that Mopar box? Damn, Dave, I am sooooooooo jealous of all of your mod's. At least I will be looking forward to seeing you run out at the track this year. PPllleeaaseeeee let us know when you do eventually go to the track. Did you order any drag radials yet?

Wouldn't you want to tune it on the juice??? Or do you plan to have two?

I can throw a wrench for ya but the dates have to be just right. Like I said, I have the end of the month off, lay off that is. The rest of the time is reserved for the goofy goo and glass.

Hmmm... 2 converters? Or, did you just want to make sure we didn't miss that picture?

It's gonna be one killer track machine when you're done!

BTW... I guess I'll join the chorus and ask... What's in the Mopar box?

F'in sweet Dave. I will try and help with what I can. I am no mechanic, but extra hands are always nice. Track opens in March IIRC.

Two tunes. Goal is to have the fastest N/A LX in the NW and see how fast on the juice.

Plenty of clues in the photo.

Keep guessing. No radials yet, haven't found decent rims.

    update

Ok, I just picked up the car with the converter installed. The only word that I can use to describe the difference is YIKES. I have to learn how to launch my car all over again. Found a quiet street, brought up the rpm's, launched, left the longest trail of smoke down the entire street, felt like I was peeling the sidewalls bare. It also climbs up the rpm's really quick. This is going to take some getting used to. (I say this with a $yit eating grin on my face).

Tualatin transmission center on tonka road in tualatin. Really good guys, they have a couple of drag cars in the shop, knew what they were doing and got it done in 3 hours at a reasonable price. The mechanic was really impressed with the converter when he tested it out in the car.

Oh sure...blame me for your HP addiction...I think you just needed a little "push" in the right direction. I remember when we first talked about your car right after you bought it...you were grinning so wide I thought your brain was gonna fall out! So tell your wife it's not totally my fault.

Heck, I've got the slowest SRT8 in all of the Great PNW now...

Congrats on some nice mods, Dave!

I was told the convertor was the best mod you could actually feel besides a supercharger. It is suppose to be that much better. I would love to ride in your car before all the other goodies come in.
