Well, they must have all waited to come out later in the evening. I've never seen such a solid string of cars headed south on I5. We were down to 15-20 mph a few times. The northbound traffic was a lot lighter. I don't know where everyone was headed, but it sure was strange.

Well I got very lucky myself on the way home. As some of you may know I get up at 1:30am every day to go to work. It makes for a very tired day if I plan activities (such as car club meets to the volcano!). Well I dozed off on the way home on I-5 south and hit the car next to me. Fortunately it was only side mirror contact and my break away mirror just laid back like it is supposed to. Could have been much, much worse. I am certainly going to plan my activities and sleeping patterns better next time!

Oh no! I'm glad you are okay and the car didn't get hurt too bad.

Drink some straight shots of espresso next time before hitting the road.

Jerry, I'm glad things weren't worse.

Very uneventful drive home, speed limit plus all the way. We came down the mountain trailing Roger K and the Daytona Ladies. I guess we also left at the right time.

Well, the Mayans and other Soothsayers were right, the end has begun.

Of course I was a complete angel; drove 10 mph under the limit, yielded to all Prius', and stayed in the right lane. :liar:

The wind must have been blowing, I can't understand how I got bug "smears" on the windshield :liar:

Took almost exactly the same amount of time to get back as it took to get there, no traffic problems whatsoever.... I have a theory about that though, I think the wag looks like a cop wag in the rearview, I get lots of cars moving over when I'm coming up behind them.

I'm not sure but I think alpha, TD33 + a black Charger were behind me. After clearing a few slow going cars, the drive was on.

I'll let alpha or TD33 tell us about that at their leisure. If it was alpha behind me, I KNOW how he got smeared with bugs...LOL

That sucks Jerry. I am glad you guys came out unschated. I didn't know you got up so early either. Did you let Jr. drive home after that?

Awesome! I've since learned that Kensmash and OSUThunder were behind you. It was a great drive down the mountain. Hope you had fun.

Yeah, we left a lil after 2:30and hit traffic from Chehalis til the Tinino ext. Got off there and took the back way home to graham got home a lil after 5:00. We stoped at the Buger King before we headed home though. Followed a orange challenger most of the way down.
