Spoke with Tami about the show today. As Kevin said, it is recommended to get there early (7 AM) in order to insure parking on asphalt. The rest is a grass / dirt mix, which translates to dust bowl to me.

Cost for the show & shine is: $20.00 per car, $10.00 passenger. Seemed kind of steep, but keep in mind, there will be over 300 cars on the dragstrip, so that's really pretty fair.

Turnout for the S&S last year was 128 entries. I would say we could represent 10 to 20% of that this year with a good turnout?!

They do have a late model class for 90's & up, so who knows what that could bring. I myself really never care about a trophy, rather I just enjoy the company of good friends & nice cars.

Recommended to bring is a pop - up tent for shade, as I guess it is going to be hot.

Slim & G/F (not road tripping with group, but bringing tent and folding chairs)

good look'n out.. Looks like I'll be hitting the road around 6:30 am. By the way it was hot as hell last year too, and I didn't have a tent. I'm into the drags as well so I would most likely be in the stands the majority of the time as well. Kev

Well looks like we are in for Saturday. Has anyone checked into accommidations yet? Not sure yet if we will have any kids with us. Probably not, but you never know, sometimes they say yes to some of the weirdest things.

Have not looked into any yet. Will probably do a little surfing tonight, & make some calls tomorrow.

I'm not sure if you were refering to the show being on Saturday, but the 16th is Sunday.

I just found out that we are a Sponsoring Vendor at the Mustang Roundup in Bellevue this w/e. Can you tell my boss likes to plan ahead??!!

Anyways, I will be working the show on Saturday, so like Mike & Jason, I will probably be getting off work the same time as you guys.

You know, I didn't even ask, but I would assume probably 4, or 5 at the latest. You might check Woodburn's site to see how late they allow racing on Sunday; I know it is 5 PM at Pacific Raceway here.

Well, the reason I asked is because I was thinking of possibly putting together a little get together/BBQ at my place (nothing like Mike's... just a small gathering). However, with most of you coming down late... Saturday afternoon doesn't look good. If the show goes late on Sunday, I'm thinking most of you will want to head home. So... I don't know if the timing will work out.

Boy Don, that sure does sound good, and really appreciate the hospitality. I am not sure the timing will work out either, & thats just too bad, cuz it would be fun!!

I also checked on rooms, Super 8 is the cheapest at 74 bucks, if anyone wants to know.

If it worked out, that would be fun Don. We probably won't hit our destination until around 10 or 10:30 Saturday night. Most shows go until 3 or 4:00. Might be a tough one.
